Isabelle Barker

A talented young singer and actress who loves to create special performances in costume sometimes with the dancer, Darrell Springer. She is studying at Grade 5 level at the moment and is also developing a very extensive repertoire of songs that she just loves to sing. Her favourite song is "Carrickfergus".

Isabelle performs with a number of Warwickshire groups and throws herself into these performances ith great dedication.

Andy Jones

Ex pupil, Andy gives great drama to some of the stirring songs in the baritone repertoire. In 2014 Andy performed  Harry Dacre's famous "Ballad of Benjamin Binns" with extremely dramatic effect and to great acclaim.

Andy  is a very versatile musician and has a strong interest in early music and sings with the Medieval Boyz and the Leofrik Consort. He also performs with other groups, enjoys folk music and is learning Welsh and Gaelic.

Patsy Clarke

A lady with a a real contralto voice and a fabulous versatile style, Patsy can entertain with her comedic music hall numbers, her story telling and her unaccompanied folk songs. She is studying classical singing and is mastering the alto arias from Messiah.

Patsy has a very diverse repertoire and particulaly enjoys working on a challenging piece. She sings Elgar's "Where Corals Lie" and Howell's "King David". Both of these pieces are a life time study.

Patsy is a key member of the team of performers UMCM and she is a great team player with an uplifting spirit. She is great to work with.

Lily Locke

Ex pupil, Lily got a very well deserved high distinction for her Grade 8 singing on the ABRSM syllabus. I am very proud to have been her teacher.

Lily is the latest UTM singing pupil to reach the great heights of Grade 8 singing. She was singing a lovely wide ranging programme which includes Green Finch and Linnet Bird from Sweeney Todd, Du Bist Die Ruh and unaccompanied Lagan Love folk song. This is the culmination of a real commited few years of work from Lily with the support of her family who have shared the driving from South Warwickshire to the singing lessons in Coventry.

Lily is a versatile performer and has recently taken to accompanying herself at the keyboard. She has performed with UMCM many times and has been a great team member in our projects. Most memorable are the performances in the comedically competitive "Divas".

Also memorable was Lily's serious performance in UMCM's very well received Baroque Concert in All Souls church where her high notes resonated into the huge acoustic of this magnificent building.

Austin Wootton

Austin Wootton, in his mid-80s, is a very talented singer who brings to his performances a sophistication and intensity that sets him apart. He has been a fantastic role model for us. It is a privilege to work with this man who has a fantastic voice and can lift the rafters of my front room when he feels on top form!
